The fact that your vendor is in the Privacy Shield will help you demonstrate compliance with European Union (EU) data transfer requirements. But a vendor’s Privacy Shield certification does not take the place of a company’s requirement to legitimize any transfers of personally identifiable information between the EU and U.S. In this webinar we provided a high-level review of the Privacy Shield program. We also discussed the different ways to use your service provider network’s Privacy Shield programs to demonstrate your own compliance with EU to U.S. data transfers, as well as other country data transfer requirements.
