ClearStar is taking time to look back on the events that occurred with the company in 2024 and to look forward to the company’s 30th anniversary of being in the workforce screening business in 2025.

What Happened With ClearStar in 2024

ClearStar – a global workforce screening provider that specializes in background checksdrug testing, and occupational health services – is taking time to look back on the events that occurred with the company in 2024 and to look forward to the company’s 30th anniversary of being in the workforce screening business in 2025. Here is what happened in 2024:

  • January to December 2024: ClearStar offered the free monthly “Screening Compliance Update” compiled by ClearStar Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary Nicolas Dufour that shared industry-related articles written by subject matter experts to help employers establish and keep a compliant background screening program.
  • February 2024: ClearStar announced that Pam Dunsky joined the company as Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee Client Service and Operations. Dunsky brought extensive experience to ClearStar and her expertise spans service, operations, technology, and product, and utilizes these skills to create experiences that customers love. 
  • March 2024: ClearStar – a founding member of the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA) that is also accredited by the PBSA – exhibited at the PBSA 2024 Mid-Year Legislative & Regulatory Conference held in Arlington, Virginia. ClearStar exhibited the company’s fully customizable occupational health screening solution for attendees.
  • April 2024: ClearStar certified compliance with the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) with regard to the processing of personal data received from Europe. Specifically, ClearStar certified compliance with the European Union (EU)-United States (U.S.) DPF, the United Kingdom (UK) Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Switzerland (Swiss)-U.S. DPF.
  • May 2024: ClearStar exhibited at the 2024 National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA) Annual Conference and Trade Show held in Hershey, Pennsylvania. ClearStar was represented by President of Medical Information Services (MIS) Todd Shoulberg who provides leadership to the daily operations of ClearStar’s Medical Review Office (MRO).
  • August 2024: ClearStar announced the appointment of Adam Roy as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Roy brought experience in sales leadership, marketing strategy, and business development within the background screening industry. He began his journey in the industry at ClearStar and his return marks a full-circle moment in his career.
  • September 2024: ClearStar exhibited at the PBSA 2024 Annual Conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Todd Shoulberg presented a session on “The Drug Screening Spectrum” that covered all facets of drug screening, from issuing the Custody and Control Form to the applicant to the collection and shipping of specimens to laboratory testing procedures.
  • October 2024: ClearStar exhibited at the 2024 Substance Abuse Program Administrators Association (SAPAA) Annual Conference & Expo in Dallas, Texas. SAPAA works to establish, promote, and communicate the highest standards of quality, integrity, and professionalism in the administration of workplace substance abuse prevention programs.
  • November 2024: ClearStar announced a partnership with Paylocity, an award-winning provider of cloud-based Human Resources and payroll software solutions, to accelerate safer hiring. Paylocity’s intuitive, easy-to-use product suite helps businesses automate and streamline processes, and attract and retain talent. ClearStar is live on the Paylocity Marketplace.
  • December 2024: ClearStar updated the company’s pages on the websites of its partners in the Paycor Marketplace and the SAP Store. ClearStar has a lengthy record of successful background screening integrations with the Paycor Talent Cloud and is certified for integration with SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management background checks.

ClearStar Celebrates 30th Anniversary in 2025

ClearStar has provided workforce screening solutions from its corporate offices in Alpharetta, Georgia, since 1995, and will celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary in 2025.
