City of Temecula Live Scan

The City of Temecula prides itself on maintaining a safe, healthful, and productive work environment for all employees. As a condition of employment, we require a background check of all employees. The City uses LiveScan, an automated background check process that requires digitized fingerprints. The fingerprints are electronically transmitted to the statewide criminal database at the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in a matter of seconds. The DOJ/FBI LiveScan provides reports with detailed information on California and Federal convictions based on a fingerprint match. Upon receipt of a satisfactory background check and pre-employment screenings you will be contacted by Human Resources to schedule your onboard date with the City of Temecula.

City of Temecula Pre-Employment TB Test

As a condition of employment, all candidates being considered for employment in the Community Services Department are required to provide a valid TB test. Please refer to your conditional offer letter if you are unsure if you are being hired in the Community Services Department. The City partners with Concentra to conduct the test at no cost to you. If you have performed a TB test within the last two years, you may skip this step and provide us with the results of your most recent TB test. If you are not being considered for employment in the Community Services Department, you may skip this step.

Steps if You Have Current TB Test Results
1. If your test was performed within the last two years, please provide results to the City of Temecula Human Resources Department.

3. No further action is needed at this time.

Steps to Perform Your TB Test
1. Contact Concentra to schedule your TB Test.
2. Fill out the Treatment Authorization Form and take it with you to your appointment.
3. Walk-ins are accepted but may result in a longer wait time.

Public Resources Code section 5163 states in essence, any person that is to be employed in connection with a park, playground, recreation center, beach etc. used for recreational purposes that requires contact with children or as a food concessionaire must have a TB test on file that is valid within the last two years.
