Chad Parodi leads all aspects of company operations, including scaling the business organically and through acquisitions while investing further in ClearStar’s superior customer experience. Prior to ClearStar, Chad was CEO of Nashville-based XMI, a human resource, and accounting outsourcing firm, where he scaled the business four times faster than the industry average, leading to a successful exit. Chad previously served as a sales leader at ADP, progressing to Division VP of Sales, leading a team of over 200 direct reports.
George is focused on driving operational excellence and improving the overall customer experience across ClearStar’s background screening and verifications business unit as well as overseeing customer implementations and global service delivery. George is a performance-oriented, success-driven, and strategically focused senior executive with an exemplary record of launching new businesses and leading and optimizing business operations. He has an impressive track record of successfully scaling a business unit at ADP from $20.0M to $625.0M. After his 26-year career at ADP, George held consulting and executive leadership positions at Abbott Laboratories/eScreen and isolved Technology, an HCM software platform. In addition, he has been part of four different acquisitions and has held direct responsibility for P&L’s exceeding $130M. George holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Susquehanna University and an MBA in Human Resource Administration from Temple University.
Todd Shoulberg provides direction and leadership to the daily operations of ClearStar’s Medical Review Office. He is responsible for keeping all drug testing clients in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations, and identifies new testing methods and products for clients to utilize in their drug testing programs.
Before joining ClearStar, Todd served as Vice President of Florida Drug Screening, Inc., where he oversaw operations of the Medical Review Office, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service.
In October 2022, ClearStar named Dave Morgan as Chief Financial Officer to lead all aspects of finance and accounting for the company. Morgan brings more than 30 years of diverse finance experience to ClearStar. He has a demonstrated track record of building high-performing finance teams as well as driving growth in revenues, earnings, and cash generation while improving business controls and efficiencies. As CFO, he will oversee all aspects of ClearStar’s financial operations and reporting, cash management, forecasting, and controls. In addition, he will assume responsibility for systems integrations, operational planning, and profit improvement initiatives.
Most recently, Morgan served as CFO of Cendyn, a global leader in SaaS technology for the hospitality industry. Prior to Cendyn, his career spans three decades of financial leadership roles in publicly-held and private-equity owned companies. Dave is a nine-time CFO working across the consulting, telecommunications, software, and SaaS technology industries and has led successful exits at three companies. Morgan is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia where he earned his BBA in Accounting and is a former Big 5 public accounting firm auditor.
Kenneth “Ken” Dawson is a founding member of ClearStar and currently serves as its Chief Information Officer. Ken is responsible for evaluating, designing, and implementing background check technology solutions that combine information from disparate information sources in varied data formats.
Before forming ClearStar, Ken developed enterprise systems for United Parcel Service (UPS) and Kaiser Permanente. Ken began his career in software development and content delivery in 1990 while working as an intern for Conatec, Inc., an aerospace engineering firm.
Nicolas Dufour advises ClearStar’s management team on all legal matters, issues, and risks impacting the organization. He provides legal guidance, legal management, and operating standards related to business; state and federal laws; regulatory; and legal strategic matters. Nicolas has more than twenty-five years of legal practice experience and fifteen years of experience in the background check industry.
Before joining ClearStar, he was Chief Regulatory Counsel at First Advantage Corporation, where he oversaw litigation matters and regulatory enforcement investigations related to privacy and data security issues.
Ted is responsible for accelerating top-line organic revenue growth as well as driving expansion and retention in ClearStar’s strategic customer base. Ted is an elite revenue growth and GTM expert with deep experience in sales execution, channel optimization, and customer success strategy. He has a 20-year record leading high-performance teams delivering transformational growth with world-class employee engagement and customer satisfaction. Most recently, Ted served as Chief Revenue Officer of Omnigo Software, a private-equity backed safety and security management platform. Earlier in his career, Ted was a VP and Executive Advisor at RocketPower, a Forbes top 100 human capital solutions startup, a VP at LivePerson, an AI-powered digital messaging leader, and a Principal at SBI, an award-winning growth consulting firm. Ted also served as the Commercial Business Unit Leader and VP at MarketSource, an Allegis Group operating company, as the firm tripled revenue to over $300M, while being voted an Atlanta Best Company to work for three times. Ted began his career in sales and marketing roles at General Electric and Ford Motor Company. He is a Six Sigma Black Belt and a graduate of the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University with a bachelor’s degree in Management and a minor in Marketing.
Jennifer leads the HR function at ClearStar and is the architect for our talent strategy and corporate-culture initiatives. Most recently, Jennifer held a VP position with Ciox Health, a private clinical data technology with 8,000 employees, where she was responsible for leadership of compensation, benefits, HRIS, recognition, culture/engagement, and talent programs. Prior to Ciox Health, Jennifer spent 13 years at Mueller Water Products, a publicly-traded manufacturer and services marketer with 2,900 employees. During her tenure, she held several positions of increasing responsibility culminating with her appointment to the executive leadership team as VP and Chief People Officer. In addition, Jennifer has led human capital mergers and acquisitions due diligence and integration activities, both domestically and internationally. Jennifer is a graduate of Furman University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
Brad is responsible for building and growing relationships with ClearStar’s customers as well as leading upselling and cross-selling activities to leverage the Company’s full product and service offering. Brad has extensive knowledge within the background screening industry serving as Vice President of Sales for four national background screening companies, including his role as EVP of Sales at General Information Services, where he led the sales efforts for all segments of the team for 6 years. Brad has over 30 years of active sales management, 19 of which were within the background screening industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Government from the University of South Dakota.
Angela leads all aspects of ClearStar’s marketing agenda, including market research, brand-building, campaign execution, and reporting. She is responsible for defining client-centric strategies that encompass thought leadership and strategic partnerships with goals of reinforcing ClearStar’s brand and generating demand in its target verticals.
Prior to ClearStar, Angela was Head of Marketing at Edge Technologies, a data visualization and connected intelligence B2B SaaS provider, where she was responsible for leading the company’s branding, digital marketing, and go-to-market strategies. Before Edge Technologies, Angela spent seven years as a management consultant helping resource-constrained and growth-and-innovation-challenged companies design, optimize, and execute transformational marketing strategies.
