ClearStar Is PBSA®-Accredited for Background Screening

In November 2023, the PBSA® Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC) announced that ClearStar had successfully demonstrated continued compliance with the Background Screening Organization Accreditation Program (BSOAP) and was recognized as PBSA®-Accredited, an accreditation status that ClearStar has maintained since 2012.

Since its inception, the PBSA® has maintained that there is a strong need for a cohesive industry standard and so created the BSOAP. Governed by a strict professional standard of specified requirements and measurements, the BSOAP has become a widely recognized seal of achievement that brings national recognition to background screening organizations.

To become PBSA®-Accredited, background screening organizations must pass a rigorous onsite audit conducted by an independent auditing firm of its policies and procedures as they relate to six (6) critical areas: Information Security; Legal and Compliance; Client Education; Researcher and Data Standards; Verification Services Standards; and Business Practices.
