Puerto Rico has a mandatory drug testing law. All employers in Puerto Rico are required to comply with the mandatory law. Puerto Rico also has laws related to unemployment compensation, workers’ compensation, and medical marijuana. All drug testing circumstances are permitted, including pre-employment testing, reasonable suspicion testing, and random testing. However, the mandatory law does include specific requirements for each testing circumstance.
