ClearStar Helping PBSA Celebrate 20th Anniversary at 2023 Annual Conference

ClearStar, a leader in global background screening solutions, will help the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), a non-profit trade organization representing the background screening industry, celebrate its 20th anniversary at the 2023 PBSA Annual Conference taking place in Grapevine, Texas, from September 10, 2023, to September 12, 2023.

ClearStar, which is accredited by the PBSA and was a “Founding Member” of the PBSA when it was founded as the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS) back in 2003, will be a Bronze Sponsor for the event and will be exhibiting in Booth 404 at the conference being held at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center.

“The PBSA Annual Conference is our largest international event of the year. We’ll also be celebrating our 20-year milestone with special activities at the conference. We hope that you’ll join us at our conference to celebrate this special occasion and be a part of our continued success,” states the web page for the event at ThePBSA.org/events/2023-annual-conference/.

Todd Shoulberg, the President of Medical Information Services (MIS) at ClearStar, will present a session titled “The Drug Testing Grapevine: Top 10 Things You Need To Know” at the conference from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM on September 11, 2023. This session will outline the Top 10 crucial, most confusing, and talked about components people need to know about drug testing.

In the session, Shoulberg will delve into topics such as second-hand marijuana smoke, the impact of poppy seed bagels, and the advancements of oral fluid testing for Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance. Broken down into ten different areas, this session is a “must-attend” for those hoping to stay ahead in the evolving drug screening landscape.

Shoulberg has spent 16 years with ClearStar and 24 years in the drug testing industry. He oversees ClearStar’s Occupational Health and Drug Screening division and in-house Medical Review Officer (MRO) office. He has spoken at Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) and Substance Abuse Program Administrators Association (SAPAA) conferences.

Founded in 2003, the PBSA was established to represent the interest of companies offering background screening services and to promote a high level of ethics and performance standards for the screening industry.
