Schedule of Events Released for PBSA 2024 Mid-Year Legislative and Regulatory Conference

The Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA®) – a non-profit trade organization representing the background screening industry – has released a tentative Schedule of Events to be featured at the PBSA® 2024 Mid-Year Legislative & Regulatory Conference that will be held in Arlington, Virginia, from Sunday, March 24, 2024, to Tuesday, March 26, 2024. 

The Schedule of Events for the conference features sessions on a variety of topics including the Background Screening Organization Accreditation Program (BSOAP), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), cyber security, data deletion, Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) litigation, marijuana drug testing, privacy regulations, and tenant screening. 

“If your responsibilities or interest is on regulation, legislation, education, and compliance related to the background screening industry, this is THE conference for you. Whether you’re new to the industry, a seasoned expert, or somewhere in between, you’ll take away valuable information and resources that benefit your specific business goals,” the event web page states.

The 2024 PBSA® Mid-Year Conference will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriot in Arlington, Virginia. The conference will not be a virtual/hybrid conference but will be an in-person event only. The PBSA® 2024 Advocacy Day will be held following the conference on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. Conference attendees are encouraged by the PBSA® to set their sights on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., and work collectively to influence positive change in the background screening profession. The PBSA® will provide breakfast and transportation to Capitol Hill.
