- ClearStar Sponsors Free Drug Testing Webinar with Current Consulting Group (CCG) – In February 2023, ClearStar sponsored a free webinar titled “Legislative Review and What to Expect in Drug Testing in 2023” hosted by Bill Current, the President and Founding Partner of the Current Consulting Group (CCG), a leader in compliance consulting in the drug testing industry. The webinar reviewed the key changes in 2022 and predicted the impact they would have on 2023.
- ClearStar Co-Hosts Free Paycor Webinar on Social Media Screening – In March 2023, ClearStar co-hosted a webinar on “Social Media Background Checks: Supporting Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging in the Digital Age” presented by leading HR software provider Paycor. Nicolas Dufour, Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at ClearStar, and Dawn Standerwick, Vice President of Global Sales at ClearStar, acted as co-hosts.
- ClearStar Offers Free Webinar About “2023 Top Trends in Workforce Screening” – In March 2023, ClearStar offered a free webinar titled “2023 Top Trends in Workforce Screening” featuring emerging industry trends based on a white paper published by ClearStar. The webinar was co-hosted by Attorney Lester Rosen, founder of Employment Screening Resources (ESR), now a service offering of ClearStar, and Dawn Standerwick, Vice President of Global Sales at ClearStar.
- ClearStar CFO Dave Morgan Chosen One of “The Top 25 CFOs of Georgia for 2023” – In June 2023, ClearStar was pleased to announce that Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Dave Morgan was chosen as one of “The Top 25 CFOs of Georgia for 2023” by the Finance & Investing website. ClearStar hired Morgan as CFO in October 2022 and he brought over 30 years of diverse finance experience to the company. “These exceptional individuals play a pivotal role in Georgia’s thriving economy, ensuring their respective organizations’ financial well-being and progress,” according to a news release.
- ClearStar Achieves ISO 27701:2019 Certification for Privacy Information Management System – In August 2023, ClearStar announced it received International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27701:2019 certification for its Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) that shows the company meets rigorous international standards for protecting personal data. “This milestone not only solidifies our position of protecting personally identifiable information but also underscores our unwavering dedication to upholding the highest standards of data privacy and security,” ClearStar Vice President of Information Technology and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Damien Stewart said in a news release. In 2022, ClearStar was awarded recertifications of the ISO 27001:2013 standard for information security management system (ISMS) best practices as well as the ISO 27018:2019 security standard for the public cloud computing environment.
- ClearStar Announces Appointment of Mike Pritts as Chief Executive Officer – In November 2023, ClearStar was pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Pritts as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With over 35 years of senior leadership experience in the software and technology sectors, CEO Pritts brings a wealth of expertise to ClearStar. “I’m pleased to join ClearStar at this exciting time and look forward to collaborating with the team to deliver top-tier screening solutions. Our commitment to driving innovation and providing exceptional service remains unwavering as we strive to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations, set industry standards, and drive business growth,” he said in a news release.
- ClearStar Achieves Background Screening Credentialing Council Re-Accreditation – In November 2023, the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA®) Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC) announced that ClearStar had successfully demonstrated continued compliance with the Background Screening Organization Accreditation Program (BSOAP) and remains BSCC-Accredited. “At ClearStar, we provide our clients with background screening solutions that are proven in more ways than one. Not only are they backed with more than two decades of experience and innovation, but they are also validated by our PBSA accreditation,” ClearStar CEO Mike Pritts said in a news release.
- ClearStar Ranked as a Leading Provider by Customers in 2023 HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen for Pre-Employment Screening – In November 2023, ClearStar was pleased to announce its customers had independently ranked the company as a leading provider across several categories in the 2023 HRO Today’s Baker’s Dozen Customer Satisfaction Ratings for Pre-Employment Screening which is the industry’s gold standard survey. “We are grateful to our customers for expressing their feedback to this survey. Their voice matters to us and there is no higher praise. We are also proud of our dedicated employees who provide an outstanding level of service every day,” ClearStar CEO Mike Pritts said in a news release.
- ClearStar at Trade Shows and Conferences – During 2023, ClearStar was an exhibitor and/or a sponsor at various trade shows and conferences held by the Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA), the National Drug and Alcohol Screening Association (NDASA), the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), the Substance Abuse Program Administrators Association (SAPAA), and the SAP SuccessConnect Event.
